About Us
Our family brings an interesting mix to our business.
We evaluate each dog for compatibility in play groups so that playtime is a safe time for your dog.
Astrid provides an extra gentle touch when it comes to caring for all of our 4-legged guests. She makes sure that even the smallest dogs feel comfortable. No matter how scared they may be at first, Astrid will give them the extra special attention they need to feel at home.
Mike is the one in charge when we are away. Mike has been part of the Dogwood Family since 2015 and a friend before that. Mike is able to handle the work and responsibilities of 3 people, all while providing the sensitive and patient care you expect when you leave your dog at our farm.
Not only have we been caring for and grooming dogs for over 20 years, but Wendy and Stuart are also professional nurse practitioners. Our health care backgrounds bring an added touch of awareness about your pet's health as well as the ability to easily care for any special needs your dog might have. Please let us know in advance if your pet has any special health care needs.

Off Chesnee Road in Green Creek
Chesnee Rd is off Highway 9 and convenient to Columbus, Tryon, Mill Spring, Rutherfordton, Lake Lure, Landrum, Boiling Springs, Forest City, Spindale, Shelby, Inman, Campobello, New Prospect, Fingerville, Greer, Taylors, Travelers Rest, Greenville, Spartanburg, Hendersonville and Asheville.

From Landrum: Take Landrum Rd (Hwy 14) until Hwy 9. Turn right on Hwy 9, left on Chesnee Rd, then 2.6 miles to Dogwood Farm Kennels on the right.
From Route 26: Take Exit 67 to Route 74 EAST towards Rutherfordton (NOT towards Columbus) then continue with directions below.
From Route 74: Exit 167 to Rt. 9 South,(right) towards New Prospect. After about 5.8 miles, take the left onto Chesnee Rd., then go 2.6 miles to Dogwood Farm Kennels on the right.
From Lake Lure: Route 9 South. Left on Chesnee Rd., then 2.6 miles to Dogwood Farm Kennels on the right.
From Rutherfordton or Forest City: Poor's Ford Rd. to Chesnee Rd (at McGinnis Crossroads). Right on Chesnee Rd. 1/4 mile to Dogwood Farm Kennels on the Left.

We have a $10 Sunday pickup/dropoff fee
Closed on Tuesdays
After Hour Pick-Ups and Drop-Offs are by appointment only. There is a $10 fee
